Enrolling all year round
School that fits the student
not the other way round.
Nova Support Center is a digital school for students who do not fit mainstream classrooms, whether because of a learning difficulty, an emotional barrier, or simply a different pace. Every programme runs online, every lesson can be replayed, and a real person sits alongside you when a concept will not land.

Three routes
Three ways to finish school, one place to do it from.
Each programme carries a different curriculum, a different age range and a different destination. They share one thing: video lessons you control, and staff who notice when you are stuck.
Why Nova
Opened in 2014 for the students the system kept missing.
Nova Support Center opened on 14 January 2014 with one aim: to assist students who do not fit into mainstream schools. That might be a learning difficulty, an emotional barrier, anxiety in a full classroom, or a pace that a timetable will never accommodate.
The staff here have a passion for education and try to make a positive impact in the lives of students. We believe in every student's potential for excellence, and we are dedicated to helping each one reach it.
Replay until it lands
Every programme is built on video lessons. There is no single explanation you have to catch first time, and no class that moves on without you.
One-on-one when you are stuck
If a concept does not come right, our staff sit down with the student individually and work it through. Extra tests follow to make the concept stick.
Exams that count
Exams are external, written through SACAI, GED testing centres or CambriLearn. What students earn here is recognised outside these walls.
Wherever you are
Students who cannot reach the learning centre join on Zoom, at a time that suits them. Many come to us only to be prepared for finals.
How it works
From first phone call to final exam.
No entrance test, no record of past grades, no waiting for a term to start.
- 01
Tell us where the student is
Age, last grade completed, and what has been getting in the way. A short call is usually enough.
- 02
We match the route
My Online School, CambriLearn CAPS or the GED. Each leads somewhere different, and we are direct about which one fits.
- 03
Register and get access
Complete the registration form, submit the supporting documents, and the programme opens up.
- 04
Work at your own pace
Watch, quiz, test, repeat. We track progress and step in one-on-one the moment something slips.
- 05
Sit the external exam
We book exams once fees are settled, and prepare students right up to the paper.
Zoom lessons
Too far from Lydenburg? We come to you.
Students who cannot attend the learning centre join lessons over Zoom, wherever they are and at a time that suits them. Plenty of students who worked through a programme on their own also come to us purely to be prepared for the final exams.
- Full-time students get internet access at the centre
- Exam preparation for self-study students
- Lessons booked at a time that suits you
- Extra tests to strengthen weak concepts
Not sure which programme fits?
Tell us the age, the last grade completed and what has been getting in the way. We will point you at the right route, and say so plainly if we are not the right fit.
