Read this before you enrol
What this programme does not do
It is a school programme, not a school-leaving qualification, and it stops well before matric. Neither of those is a problem if you plan for them, and both are a problem if you do not.
It does not end in a certificate
There is nothing to hand an employer or a college at the end of Grade 10. What a student gains is the work itself, the habit of studying without being stood over, and the confidence to carry on — not a credential.
It stops at Grade 10
You will need a route to finish school afterwards, and it is worth settling that route before you start rather than in the year you need it. Most of our families carry straight on to the GED from age 16, with the same tutor who already knows the student.
It is not the South African curriculum
A student who may go back to a mainstream school partway through will not slot back into their grade. If that is a real possibility, CambriLearn CAPS is the safer choice.
